The Presenters
Danna Harris

Hometown: grew up in Webb City, now Neosho is my hometown
Favorite sports team: Never got into sports, no favorites–when I go to local games, I root for Neosho
Why I became a VR presenter: I love sharing my personal story and encouraging others. The consequences of premarital sex are damaging and, in many cases, affect the rest of a person’s life. I want to help others make good choices while they are young and to have the futures and lives they dream about
Hobbies–Love reading. My kindle is my friend!
Love shopping, anything artsy & creative, and love hanging out with my family. I also love the ladies’ group at my church–we have a LOT of fun
Most Embarrassing Moment and why–on a business trip a few years back, I took a trip…right down the front lobby staircase at a hotel. The only thing hurt was my pride–especially since the stairs were in view of the breakfast room and nearly everyone stopped to gawk at my fall. I could’ve disappeared at that moment
Bucket List Wishes–write a book (or a few), tour Israel, skydive, ride in a hot air balloon…I could go on…
Movie–I’m an old movie fan, and I mean OLD like Turner Classic Movies…”Top Hat” with Ginger Rogers & Fred Estaire has to be one of my favorites. My modern day favorites include “The Help” and “Courageous”.
Music–Anything on KLOVE…big fan of Natalie Grant, Nichole Nordeman, and JJ Heller
Hobbies: Reading, hanging out with students

I was walking out of the bathroom and proceeded down the hall, he was line for food when he looked up at me:) I smiled and I was like “hey handsome man on campus is smiling at me!” and while I was walking, looking at him, smiling, and thinking to myself….I hit my face of the clear box covering the thermostat….needless to say I fell down and everyone saw. I got up really quick and pretended to change the temperature and stumbled away in my high heels. After a couple more stupid moments the handsome man and I become friends. I am awkward, I do a lot of stupid stuff daily that should embarass me but I’ve learned to live with it!

Most embarrassing moment:
If you could switch places with anyone for the day who would it be and why:
Marital status/kid status: Married – Logan (a crazy awesome man) and I got married seven years ago. We have one daughter who is due to arrive on June 7th!
Favorite Sports Teams – kind of couldn’t care less about sports, probably because I’m the least athletic person on the planet!
Why I became a VR presenter: I can hardly bear watching so many teenagers go through the heartache, guilt and pain of premarital sex. I want to do anything I can to protect them from that, even if it means standing in front of a crowd with an eighteen and a half foot sperm! I want to talk to girls about what true love actually is, how to wait for it, and how to make decisions that don’t ruin their chances to be all that they can be. I love listening to their stories, both the happy and the sad ones, and seeing their brilliant minds begin to understand their own full potential.
Hobbies – I love to write, I love to read, I love to make pretty things and yummy meals. I also love to run. Probably my favorite thing in the world, though, is snuggling on the couch with my fabulous husband and our adorable dog, Mabel.
Most Embarrassing Moment and why – When I was a freshman in high school, I went to a conference with my youth group. One night we all sat in a circle and talked about things we’d learned that day. When it was my turn, I stood up to talk, but my lanyard caught the hem of my dress and pulled it all the way up to my stomach! Everyone saw…even the row of senior guys directly in front of me. I still shudder when I think of it!
Bucket List Wishes – publish a book, write a screenplay that gets made into a movie, win an Academy Award (actually, I just want to wear one of those red carpet dresses!)
Movie – Stranger Than Fiction, About A Boy, Gladiator, Pride and Prejudice, Children of Men, Jane Eyre

If I could switch places with someone for a day, who would it be and why: Abraham Lincoln, he was a failure in many aspects of life but he still is one of the most influential people in history. I would like to know what he was thinking. He is a prime example of failure not being a fault but a freedom and drive to seek greater growth in the weak spots in your life.

Most embarrassing moment: In high school I was asked to sing the national Anthem at so many different events, mostly school events. But I got asked to sing at a cage fight which was the biggest event I have ever sang at. When I entered the ring to stand in the middle and sing, the words to the song left me. I could only remember “Oh say can you see…” and I sang those words three times before the crowd had to help me with the next words and then I could sing the rest. There had to have been over 500 people there and I was shaken in my skin. Needless to say I finished the song and booked it out of there.
