I am worried about my teen
The Connection Institute is pleased to be able to offer several different Parent-Teen Events. These events are designed to promote communication between parents and their teenage children, as well as instilling a strong message of self worth in each participant. We have several different event formats to choose from:
- “Taking Them Back”- This parents-only event is to teach parents the best way to talk to their kids about sex, dating, media issues, abstinence, and self-esteem. Parents will leave with educational materials and a strong desire to influence their kids in a new way.
- “Real Solutions”- This is an event for the whole family- ages 7th grade and up. Through interactive games, personality tests, and speakers, the family members will gain a deeper appreciation of each other, as well as being able to better communicate with their own unique styles.
- Mother/Daughter and Father/Son Retreats- These retreats are designed to allow parents and their same-gender children to grow closer together while learning new ways to communicate about difficult issues in their lives. Participants will love the engaging speakers and activities, and will leave with a renewed bond in their relationship

In addition to our Parent/Teen Events, CI sends trained presenters into the public schools to teach our Adolescent Sexual Health curriculum, Virtuous Reality™, to grades 6-9. To take a peek at the curricula abstracts, click here.
